Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Neuro/ENT, Nights

Role and Responsibilities: The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating comprehensive nursing care, including direct patient care, education for patients and families, and care transitions. The RN supports professional practice across various settings, adhering to the Mayo Clinic Nursing Practice Model, and ensures all phases of nursing care are effectively planned, implemented, evaluated, and communicated. The role involves providing leadership through mentoring, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and delegating tasks appropriately based on skill level and resources. Excellent communication, mentoring, and critical thinking skills are essential, with opportunities for formal and informal leadership roles. Qualifications and Skills: Candidates must be graduates of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program or have equivalent RN experience if graduated from a non-accredited program. One year of RN or LPN experience is preferred. Candidates need an active RN license, current BLS competency (where applicable), and relevant state licensure or certifications. Strong communication skills, teamwork experience, computer proficiency, adaptability, leadership qualities, and the ability to work flexible hours are required.
