Registered Nurse - Med-Surg (Full-Time/Part-Time)

About the role

Provides professional nursing care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring adherence to facility policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, execute, and evaluate patient care, collaborating proactively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to promote quality and safety, participating in research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues using appropriate verbal and non-verbal styles.
• Coordinate patient and family education to support effective care transitions.
• Support unit and organizational goals through teamwork, participating in performance improvement processes.
• Perform clinical technical skills specific to the specialty and utilize technology to enhance care delivery.
• Demonstrate leadership by mentoring new staff, delegating tasks appropriately, and contributing to team development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge of current nursing practices, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize care.
• Basic computer proficiency; additional certifications and unit-specific competencies preferred.
• Physical ability to lift and move patients and perform activities such as standing, walking, and CPR.

Additional Information

A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and continuous professional development in a dynamic healthcare environment.
