Registered Nurse - Med Surg

About the role

Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced healthcare setting, working closely with patients of all age groups and collaborating with healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care following established standards and protocols.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress.
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies and utilize appropriate PPE.
• Assist with procedures and coordinate patient care activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current NYS RN license required.
• Previous clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC are advantageous.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and adaptability skills.

Work environment & conditions

• Work occurs in office and patient care areas involving frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Ability to work in a climate-controlled environment with exposure to cleaning solutions and PPE.
• Must adhere to infection control policies and handle interruptions efficiently.
