Registered Nurse - Med Surg

About the Role

Provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care in a Medical Surgical unit managing a diverse patient population with varying acuity, including medical, surgical, and chronic conditions such as pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, and COPD.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care and adjust plans as needed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Uphold patient rights and maintain confidentiality.
• Align with organizational standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (associate's, diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, or specialty certifications) may be required based on unit needs.

Skills & Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, and kneeling.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical assessment skills.
