About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Surgical Telemetry RN (Med/Tele RN) to work in both the Med-Surg and Telemetry departments at Pampa Regional Medical Center in Pampa, TX. This role involves attending to patients within Med-Surg units, particularly those needing cardiac monitoring. The RN will oversee the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of individuals requiring cardiac surveillance during hospitalization.

This is a full-time, night-shift position with 12-hour shifts. Training is provided for suitable candidates, including newly graduated RNs. No prior experience is required; entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment for remote heart rate and rhythm surveillance.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Provide hands-on care, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and offering emotional support.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter (preferred).
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience (preferred).
• Ventilator Management experience (preferred).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
