Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery PRN

About the role

This PRN RN role involves coordinating and delivering high-quality labor and delivery care, emphasizing assessment, patient education, teamwork, and safety in a fast-paced, family-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments
• Develop care plans
• Provide family-centered education
• Monitor and document patient conditions
• Administer medications
• Support discharge planning
• Evaluate and modify care as needed
• Offer psychological and social support to patients and families
• Ensure effective communication with physicians and team members
• Provide individualized interventions based on patient needs

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN
• Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• Current Texas RN licensure or Compact license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS or ALS certification necessary
