Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Full Time, Night Shift

About the Role

This position provides unit-based leadership, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, staff, and physicians to ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care. The role involves supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, developing care plans, and maintaining patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate clinical services, monitor personnel performance, and participate in patient care as needed.
• Foster patient- and family-centered care, addressing cultural diversity and feedback to improve service quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality measures, and hospital initiatives through participation in performance improvement activities.
• Assess staffing needs based on patient acuity, assign staff accordingly, and manage schedules to optimize workforce efficiency.
• Oversee department safety, equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and operational readiness.
• Participate in hiring, coaching, disciplining, and evaluating staff performance, including onboarding new personnel.
• Collaborate with facility services to maintain a safe environment and control staffing costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred.
• At least five years of technical experience, with demonstrated or proven supervisory skills.
• Valid RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM certifications required.
