Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Full Time, Night Shift

Role Overview

Provides unit-based leadership in a healthcare setting, collaborating with management, physicians, and staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate patient care activities
• Develop care plans
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Foster a patient- and family-centered environment
• Address cultural needs and gather feedback for continuous improvement
• Manage staffing based on patient acuity
• Assign duties and evaluate staff performance
• Provide coaching and disciplinary actions when necessary
• Ensure departmental safety, equipment maintenance, and adherence to policies
• Control staffing costs and minimize overtime
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, data collection, and policy development

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• BLS and ACLS certifications; Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
• Supervisory experience and a Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent; Master's preferred
• Five or more years of technical nursing experience preferred
