Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery

Responsibilities

• Provides care during antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care.
• Utilizes the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning safe delivery of care.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegates patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the staff available.
• Provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Requirements

• Automatic offer position
• Night shift: 6:30p - 7a
• 3/12's 13-Weeks required
• ACLS, NRP, BLS certifications required
• 2 years of experience required
• Patient ratio: 1:1 - 1:4
• No floating shifts
• No on-call responsibilities
• Will consider 48-hour guarantees
• No options for blocked scheduling
• EMR systems used: MedHost (inpatient), GE Centricity (OB), Athena (Clinic)
