About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. This role operates under the LDRP model (Labor, Deliver, Recover and Postpartum) within one department.
Responsibilities
- Absorbs and interprets information from various sources including patients, families, physicians, and other health team members.
- Develops and implements individualized care plans based on assessment findings and collaborative input.
- Coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams and ensures patients are prepared for additional support needs after achieving current care goals.
- Directs and delegates care tasks to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
- Evaluates patient responses to interventions and adjusts care plans accordingly.
- Promotes the nursing profession and collaborates with colleagues to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Valid compact license must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or willing to obtain within four years of hire.
