About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a diverse range of patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes comprehensive patient data to inform care plans.
• Develops and implements personalized care plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care.
• Administers medications accurately and documents care processes using electronic systems.
• Coordinates discharge planning to facilitate safe transitions for patients.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans as necessary.
• Adapts to new technologies and best practices to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where employed.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• At least six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
• Strong focus on teamwork, ongoing education, and patient-centered care.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred.
