Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

About the role

The Radiology Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care in imaging and interventional procedures, supporting patient assessment, education, and coordination. They assist providers, administer medications, monitor patient responses, and ensure procedural readiness and documentation. The role includes emergency response, patient transport, and collaboration with departmental staff to deliver safe, patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, evaluations, and education for radiology procedures.
• Administer treatments and medications following policies.
• Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing history and ensuring paperwork is complete.
• Monitor patient responses, perform emergency interventions, and assist with therapies.
• Support patient transport and assist with equipment and departmental needs.
• Evaluate lab results, assist with clinical support, and contribute to patient safety and care continuity.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; critical care experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong clinical skills with the ability to respond to emergencies.
• Excellent patient communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key duties

The RN will manage all aspects of radiology nursing, including patient assessment, medication administration, procedure preparation, emergency response, and departmental support, ensuring adherence to policies and delivering high‑quality, patient‑centric care.
