Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages and directs nursing care in the cath lab and interventional radiology areas. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive patient assessments, developing and coordinating individualized care plans, implementing nursing interventions, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Document patient care and progress
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Assist physicians with procedures
• Provide patient education and discharge planning
• Demonstrate professional accountability
• Participate in quality improvement activities
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control policies
• Provide age-appropriate, specialized care, including restraint use and pain management

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• At least one year of medical-surgical experience (critical care or PACU preferred)
• Current BLS and ALS certifications
• Active RN license (licensure requirements vary by state)

Physical demands

• Prolonged standing
• Patient transfers and lifting up to 50 pounds
