Role Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments. Supporting multiple sites within a healthcare network, the RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role requires flexibility to float across units, utilizing clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Coordinate care with patients, families, and team members
- Provide patient education, prepare for discharge, and ensure follow-up
- Evaluate responses to interventions and document care accurately
- Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU or Med/Surg experience
- Current RN license in practicing state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills
Additional Details
The RN may work variable shifts, with full-time hours during assignments. Compensation ranges from $58 to $65 per hour, with travel allowances and housing stipends for locations over 50 miles. The role involves manual dexterity, physical mobility, and effective communication to support patient safety and care quality across diverse hospital units.
