About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, effective, and patient-centered care using the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability for assigned patients. The RN evaluates care effectiveness, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and upholds patient rights and confidentiality, aligning with organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Care for diverse patient populations including post-op, neurosurgical, trauma, and renal cases.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 2-1:1.
- Coordinate care and evaluate caregiver performance.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (associate's, diploma, or BSN).
- Current RN licensure in the state or compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, or unit-specific credentials may be required.
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Perform physical tasks such as gripping, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
