Registered Nurse-Infusion Services

Brief Description

• Trips calls from patients, physicians, and outside drug companies.
• Obtains and updates patients’ histories.
• Administers IV medications in office, as directed by physicians.
• Obtains and verifies patient’s insurance information.
• Aids with office procedures, as requested by physician.
• Enters data and information into the patient’s electronic medical record.
• Labs: may draw blood per MD orders, prepares, and sends to lab per protocol.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested by physicians and support staff.
• Provides education regarding infusion therapies.
• Provides patients with educational materials and resources.
• Educates patients on medication and therapies.
• Answers patient questions regarding medications, reactions, and topics related to their neurologic condition.
• Participates in practice improvements by implementing changes to procedures/workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting with the delivery of compassionate and personalized patient care.

  Requirements

  • A.S. or B.S.N. degree in nursing.
  • MN Licensure as a registered nurse.
  • Four years of experience in nursing, with two years of experience with infusion therapy desired.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and EHR.
