Responsibilities
- Assess the needs of assigned patients using data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
- Provide appropriate age-specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
- Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
- Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
- Apply standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
- Contribute to department performance by precepting and mentoring novice employees.
- Support department growth through hospital-system initiatives and evidence-based practices.
- Demonstrate continued professional growth by setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
- Float to assist in other like units as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Registered Nurse licensure.
Schedule
Full-time, 72 hours biweekly.
