About the role

Responsible for leading infection control efforts within a healthcare facility, including outbreak response, staff training, policy development, and patient data review.

Responsibilities

• Lead Outbreak Response: Track and investigate infection clusters to prevent germ spread.
• Staff Training: Educate healthcare professionals on safe hygiene and care practices.
• Policy Development: Create and update health safety rules based on current medical standards and laws.
• Data Review: Analyze patient reports to identify and address infection risks.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control within three years of hire.
• Preferred: CIC certification and 3+ years of infection prevention experience, especially with surgical background.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across all hospital levels.
• Demonstrated accountability, critical thinking, and relationship-building abilities.
