Registered Nurse III (Quality Assurance)

Major goal of the Quality Assurance Department is to assist hospital staff in improving the quality of care provided to patients. The role coordinates hospital-wide Performance Improvement functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge in Quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the monitoring of Q.A. reports to identify patterns, trends, unresolved problems, and the effectiveness of improvement activities.
• Analyze quality data and report to supervisor.
• Maintain current knowledge on changes and new standards; provide assistance to leadership on issues related to:
  • Planning the process of improvement.
  • Assisting in assessing performance systematically.
  • Assisting in implementing performance improvements.
• Review clinical records as necessary.
• Review collected data and complete necessary follow-up.
• Report findings in a timely manner to the Director.
• Interview and educate unit staff regarding new methodology.
• Prepare for and participate in the coordination of surveys of external bodies if assigned.
• Assist in monitoring the hospital’s compliance with standards.
• Ensure workplace safety by maintaining a safe and secure work environment for self and others.
• Report safety concerns and comply with safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Work Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (somewhat flexible).
• 35 hours per week.
• Unpaid lunch period: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.
