About the role

The Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

Requirements

• Minimum Training and Education: Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum Experience: At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Is Required.

• Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors, working outside in temperature extremes, working from elevated areas, working in confined/cramped spaces, bending at the waist, twisting at the waist, squatting, performing pinching operations, reaching overhead, performing repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, using both legs, using lower extremities for balance and coordination, reaching in all directions, lifting and carrying 50 lbs. unassisted, lifting/lowering objects 50 lbs. from/to floor from/to 36 inches unassisted, lifting from 36" to overhead 25 lbs. unassisted, exerting up to 50 lbs. of force, maintaining 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes, seeing and recognizing objects close at hand or at a distance, matching or discriminating between colors, determining distance/relationship between objects; depth perception, maintaining good olfactory sensory function, being qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required, maintaining good tactile sensory function, complying with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
