Registered Nurse II
About the role
The Vermont Veterans' Home seeks compassionate and motivated Registered Nurses to join our team in providing care to our veterans and members with the dignity and respect that they so rightfully deserve. Duties primarily performed in a clinical setting. Work may require travel off-site. Exposure to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, potentially physically and verbally violent patient population and other stressful situations may occur. May be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and extended shifts as the need arises.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage nursing care plans
- Instruct patients and their families in proper treatment for the highest level of function/quality of life
- Provide clinical oversight along with a wide range of services for long-term and short-stay admissions
Requirements
- Possession of, or eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license
- Two (2) years or more of professional nursing experience
- OR Possession of, or eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license AND one (1) year or more of experience as a Registered Nurse I with the State of Vermont
Qualifications
- Maintain Vermont licensure or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse as a condition of employment
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Pay
The starting pay rate may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
We are currently recruiting for evenings and nights. Shift differentials, as applicable, will apply to hours worked on weekends, evenings and nights.
