About the role
The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is a non-profit Tribal health organization dedicated to serving Alaska Native and American Indian communities. ANTHC provides comprehensive health services, including medical care, wellness programs, and research, at the Alaska Native Medical Center and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates nursing practice in relation to standards and regulations, setting personal goals.
- Utilizes ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Nurses.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans.
- Delivers timely and effective nursing care, assessing and intervening as needed.
- Directs LPNs, NAs, and PSAs in their daily activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Specific certifications as required for the work area, obtained within six months of hire for new employees, and within 18 months for new graduates.
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of nursing science, principles, and techniques.
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease concepts.
- Ability to utilize evidence-based practice in developing care plans.
- Knowledge of the hospital environment and its interactions.
- Knowledge of Alaskan culture.
- Knowledge of nursing theories and ability to apply them in practice.
- Knowledge of shared governance and shared decision-making.
- Critical thinking skills for effective and compassionate nursing care.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills.
- Effective communication and assessment skills.
- Computer proficiency with various software applications.

Pay
Pay is determined by years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Schedule
