Registered Nurse /ICU / Full Time / Nights

About the role

Provides personal care and professional excellence through evidenced based practice in areas such as assessment, collaboration, patient education, and responsiveness under the scope of practice as outlined by Ohio State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care provided to patients.
• Maintains accurate, timely, detailed reports and records.
• Individualizes care based on patient values, preferences, and needs.
• Collaborates and advocates with other health care providers to provide best outcomes for patients.
• Educates patients and families from admission to discharge, considering their comprehension and learning style.
• Prepares, prevents, protects, and responds to support the hospital’s culture of safety.
• Works hours per week in accordance with the offer letter or per attributes of the position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma Nurse or ADN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licenses: Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio by time of hire.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire. PALS required within 90 days of hire (ED, PACU, Infusion). NRP within 90 days of hire (OB).
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
