About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Surgical Float Pool.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and reassessments of patients, including post-op and discharge needs.
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, and protocols.
- Provide and document nursing interventions, administer medications, and manage IV fluids and blood products accurately.
- Offer patient and family education, discharge planning, and pain management techniques.
- Recognize changes in patient condition, implement appropriate actions, and collaborate with healthcare team members.
- Ensure safety, infection control, and adherence to policies, including restraint and abuse assessments.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, maintaining confidentiality, and delivering service excellence.
- Participate in performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and professional development activities.
- Provide age-appropriate care for diverse patient populations and foster a respectful, collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- Current RN license in applicable states (Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, Wisconsin).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing work demands and maintain professionalism.
Schedule
Day shift with 36 hours per week.
