RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Critical Care Float Pool at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area, and newly expanded Emergency Department.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients.
- Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment.
- Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
- Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety.
- Contribute your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care.
- Take an active role in a highly collaborative team environment where shared accountability and teamwork directly impact outcomes.

Requirements
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- 2 years of ED and/or ICU nursing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
- Certifications such as CEN and CCRN preferred.
- Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.
Schedule
11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, floating across the ER, Observation, and Critical Care units.
Pay
$47.62 - $63.73 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
