Responsibilities

• Deliver high-acuity care across four specialized ICUs, providing life-sustaining support to patients within our Cardiac, Burn, MedSurg, and Neuro departments.
• Orchestrate the care journey by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure complex patient needs are met with precision and empathy.
• Adapt and respond to the shifting needs of our tertiary care campus, ensuring every department has the expert nursing support required for incoming critical cases.
• Monitor and advocate for patient safety by interpreting complex hemodynamic data and adjusting care plans to drive the best possible clinical outcomes.
• Bridge the gap between specialties, serving as a versatile clinical expert who can provide stability in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Skills

• Nursing experience is required - This ICU Float Position is for an experienced nurse willing to float between our 4 ICU Departments (CVICU, Burns, MedSurg ICU, Neuro ICU).
• Opportunity to grow as a nurse as many of the team also help in IR/Cath Lab/PACU/ED areas.
• Strong understanding of hemodynamics for the general ICU patient.
