Role Overview: The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care during hospital stays, assessing, managing, and coordinating patient activities with a patient-centered approach. Key Responsibilities Perform age-appropriate assessments, documentation, and reassessments, including post-op and discharge needs.Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnosis, lab data, and physician orders.Administer medications, manage IV fluids, and coordinate referrals and consultations.Educate patients and families, involving them in discharge planning and decision-making.Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, ensuring safety and quality of care.Provide specialized care such as restraint management, pain control, and abuse assessment.Adhere to professional standards, policies, infection control, and safety protocols.Communicate effectively, ensuring patient confidentiality and delivering service excellence.Engage in performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice to enhance care quality.Deliver age-appropriate, cost-effective services while maintaining a respectful and collaborative work environment. Qualifications & Skills: Must hold an active RN license in the applicable state, with required certifications such as BLS. Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to quality care and safety. Additional Duties: Participate in staff education, support a positive environment, and uphold infection control standards. May be involved in mentoring and supervisory roles.
