How You'll Contribute
- Provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
- Associate's degree in nursing required, bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
License/Certifications
- Current RN license in state of practice.
- Active Kentucky license (single state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
- BCLS required.
- ACLS, PALS, Handle with Care preferred.
