Registered Nurse Hospital at Home
Location: Hospital at Home Offices (Orion Building, Orion Rd., Fort Myers, FL). This is a driving role, visiting patients in the home.
About the Role
Responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of patient care provided through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Performs responsibilities in the five areas of nursing practice: clinician, teacher, researcher, leadership, and professional development utilizing critical thinking, management, problem solving, and differentiation of urgency. Responsible for nursing care of acute care patients in the home setting based on established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by the American Nursing Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory standards. The nurse's practice is guided by the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretative Statements, integrating knowledge of patients' age and cultural diversity into the provision of holistic patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence, customer service, performance improvement, and mentoring to deliver positive patient outcomes and experiences. Collaborates within the interdisciplinary team to deliver effective and efficient patient care and supports the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Schedule
- Full Time, 72 hours bi-weekly
- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Pay
Minimum to midpoint pay rate: $33.37 - $45.05 per hour.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree from an accredited school of nursing required; bachelor's in nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in progressive care. Emergency or intensive care preferred. Recent clinical experience within the last two years upon application preferred.
- Certification: Proof of American Heart Association Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date.
- License: Currently licensed or eligible for RN licensure in the State of Florida.
- Other: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to flex and adapt to evolving environment and role. Computer, telephone, and customer service skills required.
