About the role
Hospice care providers are needed to assist patients and their families during end-of-life care. Responsibilities include providing compassionate care, managing patient needs, and coordinating services.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospice care services to patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, or hospitals.
- Assist patients and families with emotional, spiritual, and practical support.
- Manage patient needs including medication administration, symptom management, and coordination of services.
- Document patient care and communicate with healthcare providers as needed.
- Attend training sessions and maintain certifications.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in healthcare or related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Pass background check and drug screening.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a hospice care training program.
- Current CPR certification.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Emotional support and counseling skills.
- Knowledge of hospice care practices and regulations.
