About the role

Hospice care providers are needed to assist patients and their families during end-of-life care. Responsibilities include providing compassionate care, managing patient needs, and coordinating services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hospice care services to patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, or hospitals.
  • Assist patients and families with emotional, spiritual, and practical support.
  • Manage patient needs including medication administration, symptom management, and coordination of services.
  • Document patient care and communicate with healthcare providers as needed.
  • Attend training sessions and maintain certifications.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in healthcare or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Pass background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a hospice care training program.
  • Current CPR certification.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Emotional support and counseling skills.
  • Knowledge of hospice care practices and regulations.
