Registered Nurse - Home Health

About the role

We are hiring skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for home care services in the Greater Portage (Kalamazoo County) and surrounding areas. Our agency, AdvisaCare, offers a unique opportunity where you can focus on one patient at a time, providing personalized care and meaningful connections.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in their homes, including wound care, ostomies, trachs, catheters, infusions, and LVADs.
• Engage in one-on-one education sessions with patients and their caregivers.
• Collaborate with the Home Health Team to ensure holistic patient care.
• Travel within a 30-mile radius of your home to serve patients in the designated areas.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address various healthcare needs.

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN or LPN license.
• One year of Home Health nursing experience preferred.
• Updated TB test and current CPR certification.
• Criminal background check and drug screen clearance.
• A compassionate and caring demeanor, with a professional appearance.
• Ability to work independently and think on your feet.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and skills in nursing tasks and patient care.
• Willingness to work a minimum of 30 visits per month as a part-time nurse.
