Job Essentials

The Registered Nurse (RN) performs appropriate assessments of physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate. They seek and evaluate information from other members of the interdisciplinary team, including the patient, family, physician, non-nursing disciplines, support staff, and others.

Plan

The RN collaboratively develops individualized plans of care based on assessment information and critical thinking skills. They actively seek patient, family, team, and physician involvement to develop the plan of care, including necessary education. They collaborate to prepare patients for further support needs once the current episode of care outcomes are met (e.g., teaching, referrals, and follow-up).

Implement

The RN directs the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration as appropriate. They provide or delegate care consistent with the plan of care, guidelines of care, and professional licensure provisions. They demonstrate the ability to set priorities and organize patient care delivery through effectively managing time, supplies, and resources.

Evaluate

The RN evaluates patient responses to interventions by reviewing achievement of goals, clinical outcomes, patient and family satisfaction. They revise the plan of care as indicated and reassess changes as appropriate.

Professionalism

The RN promotes the nursing profession and participates in the development of others. They integrate legal and ethical standards into practice, comply with regulatory standards, and provide accurate and timely documentation. They understand the legal implications of care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Current RN License in state of practice.

  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

  • Practice-specific certification as required by the clinical setting in which they work (e.g., ACLS, PALS, etc.).

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (preferred).

Schedule

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $34.53 - $52.25, with actual hourly rates dependent upon experience.
