Registered Nurse - Head Nurse - Cardiac Medical/Surgical

Role Overview The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing department or unit. They utilize the nursing process to guide clinical decision-making, ensuring safe, compassionate, and respectful care that maintains patient autonomy and dignity. Key Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.Collaborate with leadership and multidisciplinary teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement changes.Provide guidance during life-threatening situations and evaluate intervention effectiveness.Implement innovative processes to enhance patient outcomes.Participate in clinical leadership activities, including coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery and support ongoing learning.Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate patient care.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years' experience in the current unit or a similar setting.Computer literacy.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred.
