Registered Nurse - Cardiac Medical/Surgical

Role Overview The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a nursing unit. They utilize the nursing process for clinical decision-making, ensuring safe, compassionate, and quality care that respects patient autonomy and dignity. The role involves providing clinical leadership, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement department improvements.Guide staff during life-threatening situations and evaluate intervention outcomes.Implement innovative processes to enhance patient outcomes.Participate in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery.Communicate effectively with team members to provide comprehensive patient care.Support ongoing learning and development.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar setting or specialty area.Computer literacy is required; additional clinical skills preferred.Valid RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire are mandatory; ACLS preferred.
