Registered Nurse GI Procedures

About the role

Responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating nursing care for patients undergoing GI and Endoscopy procedures. Provides patient care within prevailing state standards of practice and according to facility policies. Communicates appropriate information to other team members, helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit, and may have additional responsibilities such as providing care in other Peri-operative departments, serving on committees, or participating in quality improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, able to multi-task, show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, uphold professional competencies, and work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

This is a part-time, benefit-eligible position requiring 20–29 hours per week during Monday–Friday daytime hours. No call, nights, weekends, or holiday work required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care for GI and Endoscopy procedures
• Provide patient care in accordance with state standards and facility policies
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and unit cleanliness
• Participate in additional responsibilities as assigned (e.g., other Peri-operative departments, committees, quality improvement projects)

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Current unrestricted RN license in California
• 1+ years of experience in GI/Endoscopy procedures
• BLS and ACLS certification accredited by AHA

Pay

$38.00 – $57.00/hour, depending on experience
