About the Role
The RN Supervisor oversees the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective nursing care within a 36-bed surgical hospital. They assist in analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing processes to enhance departmental services. Responsible for supervising daily nursing activities, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Collaborates with clinical teams to meet organizational goals related to patient outcomes, service excellence, and community values. Participates in developing and implementing strategic plans to improve operational, financial, and clinical performance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff on a 24-hour basis, ensuring efficient and safe patient care.
- Implement and monitor programs for quality nursing services.
- Ensure adherence to policies and standards organization-wide.
- Monitor patient outcomes and care effectiveness.
- Identify staff training and development needs, providing feedback and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical patient care experience.
- Previous supervisory or healthcare management experience preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- BLS certification required.
