Registered Nurse - General Surgery

About the Role

This position involves providing independent, comprehensive nursing care in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations. The nurse is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, including complex and routine treatments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care aligned with professional standards and competencies.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Delegate and assign tasks appropriately to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to complex patient needs.
