About the role
Provide high-quality nursing care for adult patients with complex GI and vascular needs in a general surgery setting. Ensure patient safety, monitor and communicate real‑time conditions, execute physician and nursing orders accurately, and lead discharge planning and education for patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, maintaining safety standards.
- Monitor and communicate patient status to the care team.
- Implement medical orders precisely.
- Prepare patients and families for discharge and educate them on care plans.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a multi‑state license (Compact State).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent professional licensure.
- Preferred: 6+ months of acute care nursing experience.
