Registered Nurse - General Medicine (Full-Time, Days)

About the role

This clinical nurse role is based in an 18-bed Medical/Surgical unit, providing direct patient care within established standards. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, collaborate with the healthcare team, and educate patients and families on managing their conditions, medications, and post-discharge needs. The role emphasizes promoting patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management and medication administration.
• Participate in safety and quality initiatives and ongoing professional growth.
• Develop and document personalized care plans, ensuring effective communication across care teams and with patients/caregivers.
• Utilize critical thinking to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
• This position is safety-sensitive, requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree and RN licensure; no prior experience required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
