About the role
This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Room, focusing on patient assessment, planning, and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver age-specific and specialty-appropriate care
- Document patient encounters accurately
- Observe and record patient signs and behaviors
- Follow physician orders
- Collect laboratory samples
- Adhere to infection control protocols
- Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Assemble necessary equipment for diagnostics and treatments
- Perform quality assessment activities
- Attend staff meetings
- Perform other assigned duties to ensure high standards of patient care and safety
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current state RN licensure
- At least 2 years of ER or comparable experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Preferred certifications: ENPC and TNCC
- Fluency in English
- Compliance with background clearance requirements
