Registered Nurse - Full Time - Medical Surgical

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating care effectiveness. Coordinates patient care with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and performs duties aligned with organizational standards and values. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a Med Surg setting.Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Maintain patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality.Evaluate care provided by other caregivers and ensure adherence to standards. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree, Nursing Diploma, or BSN).Current RN license in Missouri or valid compact license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.Preferred: prior hospital experience, BSN, additional certifications, or specialty experience.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform nursing duties requiring reaching, bending, and kneeling. Unit Details & Environment: The Med Surg 5E unit cares for adult medical patients with diverse diagnoses, providing an excellent environment to develop core Med Surg skills and assessment abilities.
