Registered Nurse - Full-Time 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Med/Surg - Wayne)

About the role

The RN utilizes the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice. The RN supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph’s Healthcare System and on his/her assigned unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice.
• Serves as a resource to other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborates with physicians, other nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to provide patient care.
• Assesses patient needs and develops a plan of care.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of the plan of care.
• Documents patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
• Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
• Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.

Pay

St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.
