Registered Nurse - Float Pool Critical Care
About the role
The Bethesda North Critical Care Float Pool is seeking a registered nurse to provide expert care to high-acuity patients across various inpatient units.
Responsibilities
- Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patient and family.
- Communicates assessment findings to other health care providers as appropriate.
- Develops short- and long-term goals with patient/family and healthcare team including discharge planning.
- Trains/educates other staff and acts as an expert resource in specialty area.
- Evaluates the plan of care for patient based on optimal specific patient outcomes.
- Documents the patient/family response to care including teaching.
- Safely administers medications/treatments and monitors their effects.
- Uses all equipment in a safe, appropriate manner.
- Recognizes emergency situations and takes appropriate action.
- Collaborates with the patient/family and with other members of the health care team, including physicians, to revise plan of care as needed.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
- 2 Years Of Critical Care Experience.
- BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers).
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle.

Pay
- $8hr Float Incentive
- $4hr Night Shift Premium for Part time
- $6hr Night Shift Premium for Full time
- $4hr Night Shift Differential
- $2500 Sign on Bonus for Part time
- $5000 Sign on Bonus for Full time
Schedule
- Part Time - (48 hours bi-weekly)
- Full Time - (72 hours bi-weekly)
- 7pm - 7:30am Night Shift
- 7a-7:30pm Day Shift
- 3rd Weekend rotation
- 3rd Holiday rotation
