Registered Nurse - Float Pool

About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role provides specialized inpatient nursing care across various units, including Medical-Oncology, Surgical-Orthopedic, Cardiovascular, Mental Health, and Acute Rehab.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and prepare patients for procedures.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Manage complex cardiac and pulmonary patients.
• Act as a resource for staff, promote effective communication, and maintain a safe, positive environment.
• Handle fast-paced, evolving environments and multi-unit float responsibilities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an inpatient setting.
• Current RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire.
• Nursing diploma or higher education in nursing.
