About the Role
Provide safe, high-quality patient care across multiple units including Med/Surg, ICU, ED, Rehab, and Senior Mental Health as part of the Float Pool.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and assist with treatments
- Evaluate patient progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Coordinate discharge planning and ensure accurate documentation
- Act as primary nurse or charge nurse when assigned
- Support department goals while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Adhere to infection control policies
- Pursue ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current RN licensure in the state or a compact state
- Active BCLS and ACLS certifications
- Knowledge of CDC and CMS standards
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-stress settings
- Maintain confidentiality and patient-centered communication
