Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current California RN license required.
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) required.
  • Certification by a national certification board-certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) preferred.
  • Current AHA or equivalent BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience as an RN in the operating room.
  • Previous experience in caring for cardiovascular patients preferred.
  • Successful completion of didactics of university based course in first assisting required.
  • Successful completion of endoscopic vein/artery harvesting course preferred.

Experience and Skills

  • Educates and cares for patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups.
  • Knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, surgical technique, wound healing, suture materials, physical assessment, and the nursing process.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with patients, professional staff, and support staff.
  • Demonstrates ability to evaluate patient’s physical and emotional status.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide patient care based on age-related needs.
  • Respects relationships and builds trust.
  • Hardwires excellence in all aspects of care.

Pay

Hourly Salary Range: Min $85.98 - Max $103.68 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
