About the role
This is a per diem position at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham. The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Directs and coordinates all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
- Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Assesses, plans, implements, directs, supervises, and evaluates direct and indirect nursing care for patients in the gastroenterology/endoscopy setting.
Requirements
- Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred.
- Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts] license required.
- Acceptance of ACLS certification within 3 months of hire or transfer into position.
- Prior experience in the pre-procedure, procedure, and post-procedure areas of endoscopy.
- One to three years of medical/surgical experience, plus one year of critical care experience.
- Ability to work in the pre-procedure, procedure, and post-procedure areas of endoscopy.
Qualifications
- Education: Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred.
- Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts] license required; ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire or transfer into position.
- Experience: One to three years of medical/surgical experience, plus one year of critical care experience; prior experience in the pre-procedure, procedure, and post-procedure areas of endoscopy.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
