Registered Nurse - Endoscopy - Days

Provides direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implements and monitors patient care plans, communicates patient conditions, and serves as a primary coordinator for multidisciplinary care. Follows physician and nursing orders and assesses discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team.
• Serve as a primary coordinator for multidisciplinary care.
• Follow physician and nursing orders.
• Assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire, from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school and professional licensure at the time of hire.

Schedule

• Primarily 6AM-2PM with extended shifts and call requirements.

Location

UAB St. Vincent's East, Endoscopy department.
