Registered Nurse Endoscopy

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. This role involves utilizing the nursing process, technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.

Responsibilities

• Absorb and assess physical, social, and psychological status of patients.
• Elicit and evaluate information from other members of the interdisciplinary team: patients, families, physicians, non-nursing disciplines, support staff, and others.
• Create and collaborate on individualized plans of care, involving patient, family, team, and physician input.
• Direct interdisciplinary care teams through delegation, coordination, and collaboration.
• Provide or delegate care according to the plan of care, guidelines of care, and professional licensure provisions.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise plans of care as necessary.
• Promote the nursing profession and participate in the development of others.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
• Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
• Minimum of 12 months of relevant experience or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of hire.
• Ongoing need for visual and manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment.
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
• Standing, walking, bending, and pushing/pulling for extended periods.

Pay

$35.22 - $53.29 per hour

Schedule

Monday through Friday
Four 9-hour shifts per week
Typical start times of 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM (36 hours/week)
Call required upon successful completion of training
Endoscopy experience preferred
