About the role
The Registered Nurse leads the healthcare team in an emergency department setting, establishing personalized relationships with patients and their support systems. They collaborate with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans that promote optimal health or peaceful end-of-life support.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing scientific evidence and compassion, the nurse assists patients in navigating their health journeys while maintaining responsibility, authority, and accountability for managing and providing care in line with current policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.
- One year of relevant experience is preferred.
- For inactive licenses over five years, completion of a Board-approved refresher course is necessary, with application for reinstatement within one year of course completion.
